Written and dedicated to Nicole Ge Li and Corey Hamm's ensemble: PEP Piano and Erhu Project.

Through the Rapids pays tribute to the heroic journey of the Fraser River - British Columbia's longest river (1,375 km), as it runs through the province's interior and empties into the Strait of Georgia.
