Etude No.1: Drum Kit

Description:

This etude was inspired by the drum kit rhythms and riffs commonly heard in pop and rock music. The piano is treated as if it were a drum set, making use of the piano's percussive qualities and it's extreme registers. For the pianist, this piece tests rhythmic coordination between the hands and large leaps .
